Four stories unfold simultaneously in a single shot on four adjacent balconies of housing project in Tel Aviv: an addicted gambler and his frustrated wife lose all their property; a noisy family with unruly children and a sick grandmother terrorize the neighbors; a young drummer and his girl friend make (noisy) love; a lonely philosopher strives desperately to concentrate on his work.
